Ross Hendrickson

LMFT-A (Supervised by Jessica Simons, PHD, LMFT-S)

My name is Ross, and I’m the founder of Upland Family Counseling. Before becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, I spent over 30 years in pastoral ministry, walking alongside individuals, couples, and families through life’s deepest valleys and most joyful milestones. That experience shapes everything I do today.

At the heart of my practice is a desire to integrate clinical excellence with Biblical truth. I offer faith-based counseling for those seeking to align emotional healing and relational growth with their Christian values. Whether you’re navigating marital strain, family challenges, anxiety, grief, addiction, or spiritual burnout, my goal is to provide a space where your faith is seen not as a barrier to mental health, but as a source of strength, hope, and restoration.

I’m a husband of 23 years and a father to two wonderful children. Like you, I know firsthand that life doesn’t always go according to plan. I’ve experienced the grace that meets us in the mess, and I believe deeply in God’s power to redeem pain, restore relationships, and renew purpose.

At Upland Family Counseling, you’ll find a collaborative, compassionate approach that blends evidence-based therapy with Biblical wisdom. You’re not just a case or a diagnosis – you’re a whole person with a story worth honoring. If you’re looking for someone who understands both the clinical and the spiritual side of healing, I’d be honored to walk with you.

Take the Upland Path…

Life can feel like an uphill climb… rocky, uncertain, and exhausting. The word “upland” refers to high, rugged terrain that can be difficult to navigate but rewarding when reached. The journey can be tough, but those who take the upland path have found a new perspective, a clearer view, and a deeper strength.

At Upland Family Counseling, we believe healing is much the same. Life’s struggles, whether personal, relational, or within your family, can feel overwhelming, but taking the upland path means embracing growth, resilience, and transformation. With guidance and support, you don’t just endure the climb – you rise above it, gaining clarity, strength, and a renewed sense of purpose.
